Examinations
There are two levels of involvement for SAAVA in the CAAV’s work on education and examinations:
- Representing Scottish matters on the CAAV Education & Examination committee
- Managing the CAAV’s Scottish examinations centre, with a convenor and examiners setting and delivering the Practical and Oral parts with the CAAV’s Examination Guidelines. The national Written papers are then sat at the centre within this framework.
SAAVA organises CAAV tutorials in Scotland ensuring candidates are equipped with the skills and qualifying CPD to take their exams.
Examinations
Members of SAAVA are able to gain the highly regarded FAAV qualification by becoming a probationer member of the CAAV and sitting their professions exams. Further details can be obtained from the Scottish Exam Convenor Jane Mitchell on jane@mountpleasant.org.uk or visit the CAAV website
