The Scottish Agricultural Arbiters & Valuers Association (SAAVA) is gearing up for its Centenary Annual General Meeting, Spring Briefing and Celebratory Lunch in the Balmoral Hotel, 1 Princess Street, Edinburgh EH2 2EQ on Thursday 20th March 2025 when it will welcome past and present members of the Association along with invited guests and partners to celebrate this milestone occasion of professional service to Scottish agriculture.
Having formally signed the first ever Constitution of the Association in the North British Station Hotel (now the Balmoral) back in 1925, it is very appropriate that the Association is returning to the Balmoral Hotel in 2025 to celebrate such a fantastic occasion.
The day will start with the traditional Association business, AGM, followed by the annual Spring briefing, an informative discussion session led my Jeremy Moody from the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (CAAV) and his colleague Rebecca Colin which this year will cover topics such as Inheritance Tax – What now for Clients, Land Reform – A Labyrinth for larger land Holdings, Prospective Tenancy Law Changes and Electricity Infrastructure and the Farmer.
Then, after the business part of the day, a celebratory lunch will be held in the hotel’s Sir Walter Scott Suite with guest speakers, Malcolm Strang Steel and Ian Duncan Millar which has been kindly supported by platinum sponsors, MFL Insurance Group and NFU Mutual Perth along with additional sponsorship from Allathan Associates, Bidwells LLP, Gillespie Macandrew LLP & Murray Beith Murray.
