AGM & Spring Briefing

The Annual General Meeting of the Association will take place at Dalmahoy Hotel & Country Club, Kirknewton, Edinburgh, EH27 8EB on Tuesday 17th March 2026 and we would like to invite you to join us.

Directions to the Dalmahoy can be found on their website: https://www.dalmahoyhotelandcountryclub.co.uk/location/ Car parking is available at the venue.

The programme for the day will be as follows:-

09.30 a.m.                      Coffee (with Bacon Roll)

10.00 a.m.                      AGM.

11.00 a.m.                      Coffee.

11.15 a.m.                      Welcome from SAAVA President

11.20 a.m.                      Rob Black, Scottish Land Commission

12.00 p.m.                      Legal update

12.10 p.m.                      Scottish Agricultural Land Occupation Survey 2025 Results, Jeremy Moody CAAV

12.20 p.m.                      Address by Julie Liddle CAAV President to include presentation of certificates to new Fellows.

12.40 p.m.                      Lunch.

Jeremy Moody of the CAAV will present the CAAV Scottish Briefing in the same venue between 1.45pm and 4pm with a coffee break at 2.45 – 3.00pm. To include updates on:

  • ​​​​​​​Inheritance Tax – Preparing for the Work
  • Land Reform Act – What is Now to Happen?
  • AI – Issues for Professional Work
  • HEMs, EPCs and MEES – Making Sense of Scotland’s Energy Efficiency Regulations

Guests are welcome to attend from 11.00 am onwards or to join us from 1.45 pm – please let me know when you respond which option you would like to take up.
